In spring 2020 I could observe at the feeding place how a male hedgehog ensnares a female hedgehog.
This led me to the conviction that a hedgehog house with cameras had to be built in the hope that I could make the hedgehog house so attractive for the female that she would choose it as a nursery for her offspring.
So I started to search for a suitable building plan and finally found it here:

When building the hedgehog house I followed the building instructions as described in the link. Only in the height I have adapted the hedgehog house, so that the camera technology finds enough space. All heights of the parts +10 cm and for the floor I used a slightly thicker board.
Since I did not change anything else, I just refer to the link above for a reproduction.
The camera technology in the bedroom consists of an IP camera, as I already use it in the nesting boxes and in the squirrel house and in the feeding room of the house I used a cheaper China IP camera as final solution. Originally, as you can see on the pictures below, I had installed a Raspberry Pi 3 with camera module, but the quality did not really convince me. Therefore I replaced the solution in the end with a China camera.
In the end the house was painted with environmentally friendly paint and is now under a cherry laurel bush in a sheltered and shady place.
