Early Sunday morning, the hedgehog woke up in his sleeping house and probably thought to himself, something has to change here in the bedroom.
And so the nest building began early in the morning in the hedgehog’s sleeping house 1.
For a good hour leaves were collected outside in front of the hedgehog house and carried piece by piece into the bedroom. And so slowly but steadily the mountain inside the hedgehog house grew.
Unfortunately, the hedgehogs build a cave, so the direct view into the nest is unfortunately hidden from us.
Should this be one of the two females that have copulated in the last few days, then there is a chance that we might see little hedgehogs crawling out of the nest, at least in the next few weeks.
