The great tit parents have been under stress since this morning.
At 8:43 a.m. the first chick saw the light of day in the nest box.
After that, the chicks were born one after the other, so that by the afternoon 6 of 9 possible chicks had hatched.
From the beginning, both parents lovingly take care of the little ones.
And the mum is also lovingly cared for by her partner with insects.
However, they don’t seem to have discovered the Buffalos I offer them yet. I have not yet been able to observe either of them flying into the nest box with buffalos. But maybe they eat the larvae themselves directly at the source.
Then we can be curious whether the remaining 3 chicks will hatch and above all, let’s keep our fingers crossed that the rearing goes off without complications.
It would be great if all 9 youngsters would fledge.
