Over the last few days, I had tried every now and then to catch a glimpse of the eggs in the great tit’s nest.
But every time she jumped out of the nest, her eggs were so well hidden that it was not possible to see the number of eggs.
This morning I finally had a clear view of the nest.
And what can I say: No change. Still “only” 3 eggs in the nest.
The titmouse is a bit lazy. I haven’t seen it like this in the last few years.
But maybe it’s a young great tit lady and this is her first brood.
Well, if in the end 3 healthy chicks hatch and they come through, all is well.
However, she is not brooding yet, as she only looked in the nesting box from time to time throughout the day. Maybe she is waiting for better weather ?
